As of December 10, 2012 the Cushman Corporation sold the Model A speedometer repair business to Mark Nelson.

Mark purchased our inventory, special tools, art work and new parts we had manufactured. Mark has received training in our shop so he will be able to continue supplying your needs in Model A speedometers. Mark's web address is http://www.marksspeedometer.com

The Cushman Corporation will still continue to restore speedometers from 1920 to 1980. We have a large parts inventory to supply your needs.

    The first speedometers were produced in the early 1900's. Speedometers were first offered as a factory installed option. Ford began production of the Model T Ford in October 1908, a speedometer was offered as a factory installed option. Then in 1913 Ford began offering a $6.00 rebate on 1914 cars that were not equipped with a speedometer. During 1915, Ford ceased offering the speedometer as standard equipment.
